Fresh tint needs a few days to cure. Give it a little space while it dries and clean it the right way, and it'll stay clear, crisp, and protected for the life of the film.
Fresh tint looks a little cloudy at first. As the adhesive dries, trapped moisture works its way out — so some haze, a few small water pockets, and tiny specks are completely normal. They clear on their own.
Small bubbles of trapped moisture. They shrink and vanish as it dries — don't poke or peel them.
A milky, cloudy look while it cures. It clears as the moisture evaporates — give it a few days.
Curing takes longer in cold or humid weather, and on big rear windows. Don't roll your windows down to “fix” haze or pockets — just let it dry.
The curing window.
For 3–5 days, so the film can't shift or peel at the edges while the adhesive sets.
Leave the tinted side alone for a few days — let it cure before you wipe it down.
Don't pick, press, or peel at bubbles and haze — they dry out and disappear on their own.
Rear-window defroster lines and the dotted edge can stay hazy a little longer. That's expected.
The adhesive is still bonding to the glass. Give it time before you wipe the film or lower the window.
Pockets gone, adhesive set — roll your windows down and clean as normal.
Once it's cured, keeping tint clear is easy — it comes down to using the right cloth and the right cleaner.
Give the tinted side a few days before its first clean, so the adhesive is fully set.
Or a clean cotton cloth. Never paper towels, abrasive pads, or scrapers — they'll scratch the film.
Ammonia clouds tint and breaks down the adhesive over time. Use an ammonia-free auto-glass cleaner, or just mild soap and water.
Especially near the edges — it keeps liquid from wicking under the film at the seams.
Let the cleaner do the work. Hard scrubbing can scratch the film or lift an edge.
Rule: no ammonia, no abrasives, no scrapers — a soft cloth and a mild cleaner keep tint flawless.
